Primrose Day

I love this painting, my mum gave me a postcard of it that is pinned up in my kitchen. It reminds me of my daughter and that quietness that only little girls seem to have. My son seems incapable of quiet...but that's another post! My daughter has been such a sweetheart in recent weeks; she is coming into herself every day and I get glimpses of what she will be when she is grown...

Readymoney Cove

This is one of my favourite places, its a cove in Cornwall, near Fowey called Readymoney. The painting below we bought in a gallery in Fowey - its by a Cornish artist called Eric Ward and its titled 'Gales at Readymoney Cove'. We spent such precious times there as a family, I have such a fondness for the place and the painting...its got such a 'Du Maurier' quality don't you think?

Belle and Boo - I love this too...

Its not just the name that attracts me to this website, its the lovely simplicity of the illustrations. The illustrator is named Mandy Sutcliffe, she creates these exquisite designs that can be bought on prints, tags, badges, magnets, postcards etc. Its just such a lovely site, utterly tempting. Packages arrive wonderfully labelled, 'with love from Belle and Boo'. Its the kind of the stuff that just makes me smile... :-)
