Laundry blues (and whites)...

If only everyone in my house would infact drop their pants in one place (this statement has different connotations depending on which side of the Atlantic you are on; stateside its trousers - fairly innocuous, here in England its underwear, slightly more risque!). Time spent collecting items of clothing from around my house...to then take it to the utility room, to be washed, hung out, placed in ironing basket (forever spilling over), be ironed, be placed back in bedrooms to start the getting dirty cycle all over again. There seems to be something utterly pointless about this - however the output just makes me smile! Laundry rooms, washing lines, clean linen, wooden pegs - there's just something about it that makes my heart sing.

We have however a laundry crisis in my abode at the moment. The amount of water in the fields around our house has meant that we have to be 'careful' about our water usage - such that the tank where all our water goes will overflow. Let's just say, that's a bad thing. Bad things happen when the tank overflows - which I won't go into here, this sunny Sunday morning.

Instead some lovely images that leave me thinking - how can something so pure and pretty be such a chore??

My sentiments exactly...

This is how it looks in Greece...love the blue door...

White cotton and green grass...heavenly...

Aix-en-Provence in France...baby clothes and shutters...

New York style...

Blue skies and washing lines...

I wish my laundry room looked like this...

I need one of these please...

...I am off to do the laundry... ;-)
